A Few Moments
In Overcoming Personal Challenges
​You set goals and have dreams you want to fulfill. You are excited about life and what you want your life to be. You start the work to make your dreams a reality. Then you run into roadblocks. Some people see obstacles as a puzzle to solve. Some see obstacles as an opportunity to grow. Others see obstacles as threats. Still others see obstacles as meaning they cannot succeed.
Last July 07, 2017, Friday afternoon, Every Nation Campus (ENC) was invited by our Online Journalism teacher, Mrs. Aluinda M. Puno. Once they started their program, they introduced themselves and said what is their purpose for building and joining this organization. This organization is not only for those people who is religious but this is also for guiding the youth in leadership. There are a lot of things I've learned from what happened last Friday. I've known what does "Bahay Kubo" when sing to English. Jerson Torres, the ENC speaker talked about David on how he overcome the challenge on fighting for Goliath. This story made us, the students realized that everyone overcomes challenges but when you encounter obstacles in life, and if you're tired of fighting for something or someone, always remember that giving up is not an option. Lift your problems to God and he will do the rest. After the story of David and Goliath, Jerson pray for the students who has problems in life and other ENC members scattered and went to different areas with the students for having a talk about "What is your challenge in life now?" Krystel Ayra Jabrica, one of ENC members talked with us, Alliyah, Joyce and Kyla. We have shared our different personal challenges in life and Ayra gave us a advices on how and what is the right process of overcoming our obstacles in life.
This program we had last Friday is really an interesting one. We became to know our classmates and friends well. We come to an end realizing that God is big enough to overcome any challenges in life. For me, I can say that I am living and loving my life with challenges because a life with no obstacles doesn't lead anywhere. Look around yourself, witness the good things, live good, have the courage to follow what your heart says and continue doing good.

Living galleries by different grade levels was present last December 05, 2017, Day 1 of Quezon National High School's English Festival as part of the Book Week celebration this year. Me, as a student of Mr. Art Angelo Enelo, we are tasked to design and make backdrops for the Mount Olympus' Gods and Goddesses. Together with the other three special sections handling by Mr. Enelo, we helped to make the living gallery succesful. The Grade 7 who highlighted the Philippine Literature, Grade 8 present different countries in Asia, the Grade 9 whose living gallery was so elegant showed us some important events in the tragedy story of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Characters on Parade was held last December 05 as cue for the opening of Book Week Celebration in Quezon National High School this 2017. Teachers from English Department and students from different grade levels participated in the said event. Not only the characters but the participants and enthusiasts of radio drama and short film festival also joined the Stars on Parade. 8 teams from Radio Drama and 9 teams from Short Film Festival joined. And I, myself as the director of Daedalus and Icarus: A Tragedy Love Story presented by Quezonian Waves participated in the parade.
As one of the Radio Drama Festival 2017 participants, I also facilitate for the listening of group outputs in the same time of having the Living Galleries and Photobooth held at Gymnasium Theatre of Quezon National High School last December 05, 2017.
The Dream Awards are one of the most awaited event as they are the first Dream Awards to take place at the English Festival in Quezon National High School. I was one of the directors of a Radio Drama Festival and we have an entry entitled "Daedalus and Icarus: A Tragedy Love Story," and with me are those persons behind the success output we have. We have nominated for the following awards: Best Poster Award, Best Script Award, Best Director Award, Best Technical Application Award, Most Liked Radio Drama Award, and especially for the Best Radio Drama Award.
I learned a lot from the English Festival. Things I can use for life. I learned to accept the defeat of our group and be happy for the victory of others. I learned to face tomorrow with a smile on the lips despite the unfortunate events from the past. I've learned more opportunities to prove and show to many people what capabilities I have. I learned that my personality cannot be describe through the defeats I encountered. My experience at Book Week Celebration is so happy that my last year at school has experienced things that have never been before, recognizing people I did not know that will complete my personality, above all, I learned to associate with other people and that's the most important thing I've learned, the lesson I will be able to use for the rest of my life.

FACT OR FAKE: JOSEPH MORONG
Fake news is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media. Fake news is written and published with the intent to mislead in order to damage an agency, entity, or person, and/or gain financially or politically, often with sensationalist, exaggerated, or patently false headlines that grab attention. Intentionally misleading and deceptive fake news is different from obvious satire or parody which is intended to humor rather than mislead its audience. Fake news often employs eye-catching headlines or entirely fabricated news stories to increase readership, online sharing and Internet click revenue. In the latter case, it is similar to sensational online "clickbait" headlines and relies on advertising revenue generated from this activity, regardless of the veracity of the published stories. Fake news also undermines serious media coverage and makes it more difficult for journalists to cover significant news stories.

It's really a trick of how we know that a news is false or true. Due to the growing spread of fake news sites, the spread of unreasonable news is so prevalent in the minds of people to what is more believable. Fake news is just that, news that looks and feels real but which is intentionally intended to deceive consumers rather than entertain them. Although fake news has been around as long as humankind, it gained increased influence with the printed word and an explosion of influence more recently thanks to the internet and social media platforms.
